Take the 'Weight' Out of Your Wait: Discover
the Reasons Why God Is Allowing You To Wait
Author Aleathea Dupree Offers Insight from Her Book Though The
Vision Tarry: Waiting For My Promised Mate
Are you waiting for God to fulfill a promise in your life? Do you sometimes
get anxious or discouraged in your waiting? Are you waiting for God
to bless you with a mate or ministry? Have you ever wondered, "Lord,
how long?" We are all waiting on God for something: a husband;
a wife; ministry; a change. Waiting is a required part of the Christian
walk. But many of us are struggling or have struggled in our waiting.
Understanding the reasons why God is allowing you to wait can make the
difference between a frustrated wait or a fulfilling wait.
In THOUGH THE VISION TARRY: WAITING FOR MY PROMISED
MATE, Dupree demonstrates, through her own powerful testimony, how God
desires to use our time of waiting to protect us from making the wrong
choices; to prepare us for what He has in store for us; to perfect us
to fulfill His purpose and plan for our lives; and to pace us for the
fulfillment of His time-released promises.
"This book is a journal of events that took
place over a thirteen-year period. It answers the critical question,
'Why wait?' This is a question that should be contemplated when it comes
to the prospect of ministry, particularly the ministry of marriage,"
said Dupree. "In this book I share my personal story of what happened
when I did not wait and ended up married to a man who was abusive, involved
in pornography, a bigamist, and a murderer. The life lessons I learned,
both during and subsequent to this experience, are invaluable resources
to others struggling with and in their season of waiting. This testimony
is primarily intended to help people avoid the mistake of entering into
marriage "unadvisedly," to offer healing to those who may
have already made that mistake, and to give hope and a sense of purpose
to those who are waiting. This book, however, should not be mistaken
as a book that will only benefit singles; the principles are universal
and will be a blessing in the life of anyone who reads it."
